Living Tarot

It has been a little hard to ignore this past year when 5 bunnies hop in my creativity and joy area, or two black crows swoop into my abundance corner. I notice boldly, the flat dead bird in my path. I don't know much about tarot but I do connect with nature and symbols and placaement. Sometimes it is what appears after a thought I had or something I said. It is not an accident. I don't always know what it means, but I notice it. Profoundly. The symbols represent. I research and go deeper as to the symbols. I sit with energy of the alignment. The power of the signs gifted to me, thankful my perception is open to its presence. What is that ANNOYING FLY trying to reveal to me! Why have people mentioned owls and my daughter just handed me an owl sticker 5 days in a row? !

Feng Shui Bagua, Intentions, New Moon Exercise/ Ritual

On the new moon: Draw a square 3x3 totaling 9. In each appropriate square write what you desire, what is your intention for New beginnings, Abundance, Health , Travel Helpful People Benefactors, Joy, Creativity, Skills and Knowledge, Fame and Reputation, Career, Relationships. Email me for where each area is I will send you a map. www.janewkifer@gmail.com Then take a separate piece of paper, one box at a time, Write down what it sounds like for you to have that. Every sound that comes to your mind. It can be as subtle or big as you think it. In my abundance gua or section, having the money level I see for myself includes the sound of hard heeled boots on a hard wood floor for example. The sound of talking to the sitters that help care for my children as they come and go and we discuss life. After sounds- list what it physically feels like to have it in your hands. Then- what does it look like actually in pictures. Then what does it emotionally feel like in your heart, in your subtle body. Then what does it smell like, then what does it taste like. I have a page or more for each sense. Don't filter just write. Spell the WHOLE picture out to the universe. As you write the Fame and reputation section you could light a candle. For new beginnings and abundance you could write next to your favorite plant, or plant a plant or sit in a forest- even activate your favorite essential oils on your body, in a diffuser. As you write the relationships go to the beach to sit on the sand, create sand art. AS you do the health section sit on the earth or put gemstones around you! AS you do the skills and knowledge, Look at a mountain. As you do the joy and creativity, or travel helpful people and benefactors, get some coins or your favorite metals and put them in your pocket or make some tea out of your favorite metal kettle. For career, sit by the ocean, or a stream or river or in the rain! And all offer extra nourishment in your favorite safe room and or under the great expanse of the sky! ( On the full moon you could do this exercise for what you would like to release and or give up and shed, let go)

Relationship Corner

I recently moved into and amazing beautiful home in Portland. I said to myself I was ready for a real relationship. I got one, But After a few weeks I started to wake up. Or rather realize how much it was bringing me down. I also happen to be offering a Feng Shui class one Sunday and I thought , "woah I better make sure my home is in shape before I go teaching! " So I worked a little in the relationship corner of my bedroom, it was closer but not quite right. I worked a little more and a little more. Moving things around looking at the space, changing the table the chair adding 2 plants, finding their space and if they liked it did they have room etc..... No odd spaces. I did my class. I called the "relationship" I was in and Poof! I woke up Hell NO! I see all that it is and ever will be very clearly now. i can do what I know now or do what I know in a week a month a year ten years, but it will be the same. I knew in a second,it was over. No question. I realized later the relationship corner I had addressed in a healthier way and Poof! Energy shifted and clarity and more alignment emerged. Boom Mission Accomplished Onward and upward!

Feng Shui For Home Buying

Recently, a coworker put a bid on a home that the bank owned. She described it being in a flood plain and I mentioned she might want to be careful. If the bank owned it perhaps it was foreclosed and the poor financial circumstances were a result of the home shape. This made me realize we should talk about it here! If you are buying or selling a home there are things to do! Let's talk about buying! Why are the people selling? How long did they live there? I know we get so excited about loving it like a new relationship, we don't want to hear the bad stuff. BUT how was the family's health? How were the finances. I'm sure in a foreclosed home there were issues so call in your local trusted Feng Shui Master. Many issues can be adjusted, but it definitely should be a conversation. Perhaps the abundance area is missing, perhaps the helpful people and benefactors area is small, Or the health area is an issue which affects the finances. All things to look at, look at it! Better to loose a quick hope and dream than make a blind poor purchase. Check the national Feng Shui Guild for practitioners in your area! Many issues can be adjusted but you should know what they are going in and what you can do to make them better and working your favor not against you.

Patterns , Readjusting and Clearing Patterns

Damnit! Those patterns, those behaviors, that keep coming up. I don't mean eating or smoking weed or reacting or being defensive. I mean those themes that just don't seem to go away! It can be anything! I feel Fat, Why do I still feel like I have no money! Sometimes it feels like no matter how much, belief, meditation, angels, prayer or wine we drink or yoga we do, or running we do, its still there!!! Recently I had a recurring theme that I thought GEEZUS! Clearly it's trying to get my attention. So rather than think positively, hope and pray and believe, - which did NOT make it go away, when The same thing happened AGAIN with a work situation, I thought "Hold the presses! Clearly there is a lesson I need to learn. WHAT IS IT!?" Asking that question and breaking it down and shedding light on it, is like an instant incinerator to the problem! Poof, it all goes up in flames when you identify it. And then you can move forward. Shadows and Dark Places

Yes it's that time again where we deal with the Shadows, the dark bits. This can relate to the dark corners of your home and OH THE METAPHOR, the dark places of our consciousness. YIKES! I read a great book ten years ago that made so much sense to these ideas. DARK SIDE OF THE LIGHT CHASERS, By: Debbie Ford. She explains how when we are young we learn to shut down parts of ourselves. Like if we think of ALL emotions as a giant castle and every emotion has a room. We learn, that in our particular family to survive there is no place for anger, or no place for tears, or no place for pride, or definitely no place for poverty, or being wealthy. All sorts of things get curated. So one by one we shut the door and NEVER ENTER THE CLOSED ROOM of our souls. Never enter those emotions. What typically comes about as we grow up is they come BURSTING out when you least want it. Because we cannot look at it within ourselves, we can only see it in others, only see it in others by being completely annoyed by them, or envying them. We can only view these emotions in judgement and an internal exclamation how we "are not that!" and thus better, for our survival. We had to! From this book I welcomed this amazing exercise she recommended. She said when we are annoyed at someone for being something, ask ourselves first "How am I like that?" OHHHHHHHH no no no. But yes yes yes. Do it. It's amazing. I worked in this amazing million dollar ( not kidding) bead store, where we had hundreds of customers every day! It was a perfect place to practice. I could NEVER handle the ANNOYING mid 30-40 year old women who could not make a decision! Make a fucking choice already!!! Mallory, who I worked with could never handle teen agers or old people. While I could help them until the day is long happily. We traded customers often, knowing this about each other. So as these mid 30 and 40 year olds couldn't decide which bead they liked or what they wanted to make and I wanted to chop off their heads, I took a deep breath and said "hmmm what annoys me here?" Their COMPLETE AND UTTER INDECISION. Next Step: How am I like that? UGH. Oh wait let me see, I'm so afraid of making a wrong decision that I make no decision or I take 20 years to make one or I put myself in situations where others make them even if they aren't what I want. Next Step: How has that served me? I don't get in trouble. I don't fail, I don't get chastised for doing something wrong. HMMM well that may have served me and helped me survive as a child, but it most certainly does not help me thrive today. Its a fantastic exercise. Piercing Heart Doors

I never, ok we'll apparently not never, but I do not typically open my mouth about Feng Shui things I see to people unless they are my friends and I see a glaring issue, OR I am asked. Even if I am asked, outside of a whole consultation I wouldn't typically unleash it all on the question. There's a lot of energy put into the exchange of a consultation and I do not throw the info around lightly. That being said, when I picked up my son today from his best friend's grandfather's house, I said to them- it just came out of my mouth. It was like lights going off- bing! bing! bing! I guess that would be more of a bell. But I saw the double entry doors lined up with the large archway and the double back french doors. I paused, and then did not pause. I won't typically say it means bloodshed as that would be scary to hear and even ask. But as I said "It's piercing heart doors you should put a rug (thinking a crystal would scare them)." Then it all unfolded out of my mouth. "Oh my god, Your husband just had a hole in his heart and surgery for it!" I did not hesitate, "Hang a crystal". She said, "Oh he's had that for over a decade." I blurted out, " Well we choose the house that matches or the house unfolds its energies in us, but hang a crystal right here!" I pointed to the doorway. I added "on a red string." When she asked "why?" I said, "For protection." I left it at that, thinking this was enough to hold for everyone. My son's best friend left the house and said "Your mom's doing that weird Feng Shui shit in my grandparents house" . When my son told me this, I said, "He's lucky, one day, I'll be the person he calls when he needs help." : )
